Life Tidbits The Blaming Game If we are honest with ourselves we can all admit that we have played the Blaming Game from time to time in our lives. My children knowing that playing with a ball in the house was not allowed and that by doing so would inevitably break something would often blame their new found friends, "Somebody" and "Nobody". |
As young children the game almost came naturally until you learned to take responsibility for your actions and how to deal with the consequences of those actions, be they good or bad.
Let me share with you a play on words that has been hanging on my studio wall for many years.
THE STORY OF FOUR PEOPLE
This is the story of four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when actually Nobody accused Anybody. - Unknown Author
The Blaming Game is easy to play but real life game winners learn to take responsibility for their actions.
