A Writer is a Writer
Picture
It is suggested by some that to become a writer you should write daily but for some of us this may be a bit taxing at first. Start by writing as often as you can, your daily writing sessions may or may not settle in.
Just remember that writing like most ventures in life should be enjoyed even though it may feel challenging from time to time. Let the process of writing inspire you and bring you joy.

Junot Díaz was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New Jersey.

Your Latest Step in Life

My latest step was to cross that doorway to retirement.
Retirement for me is the stage of life I have been looking forward to for a long while, and now that I'm here, I'm enjoying it to the fullest of my abilities while doing, learning, and "chilling" whenever the mood occurs.

What steps will you be taking?

It's Monday Again!

Yes, Monday does come around every week!
We tend to favor our weekends for family time, resting time,
and overall "me" time and look upon Monday as a drudge.

Most of us seem to have busier schedules during the week and for that reason our weekends become precious time.
Others may not have as defined a schedule and learn to enjoy personal and family time every day.

Enjoying daily family or "me" time is life energizing
and it makes every day of the week special.
"Guard well your spare moments, they are like uncut diamonds.
Discard them and their value will never be known.
Improve them and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life."

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Picture
Being in a bit of a funk for the last three months it came to me that no changes are going to happen unless I make the first move and take the steps needed to make those changes.
For me, often a good book, some humor and the right dancing music seems to help break that funk.

 "
Have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year and let 2021 be
The Change you Wish to See in Yourself and the World."
“Holiday gift suggestions:  To your enemy, forgiveness.  To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.  To a customer, service.  To all, charity.  To every child, a good example.
To yourself, love and respect." ~ Unknown

True Fitness Engages Mind and Body
13, "Baker's Dozen" Tidbits, to inspire, health and wellness
Good health isn’t a gift; it’s a habit you must cultivate.
Bodies in motion tend to stay in motion.  Keep yours moving.
A daily walk can reengage your body and mind.
Make your workout anything but routine.
Aim to be strong, flexible, and balanced:  Exercise for vitality, not vanity.
Your body sends signals when it’s out of balance.

Nurture your spirit.  It’s the real source of your strength.
Your body is a powerful healer.  Learn to nourish it.
Eating better doesn’t take more time – just better choices.
Think more about what you should eat, and less about what you shouldn’t.
Food has the power to transform.  Choose yours intentionally.
A healthy diet is a vibrant, flavored one and a healthy life stems from better choices.
A healthy fit body is not enough – True Fitness Engages Mind and Body

“It’s up to you today to start making healthy choices. Not choices that are just healthy for your body, but healthy for your mind.”― Steve Maraboli
